ICT at the British International Primary School
At our school, ICT is both integrated into teaching and learning across the curriculum, and taught as a dedicated subject with a specialist teacher. Specialist ICT is taught weekly in the school’s computer suite, where the emphasis is on developing children’s ICT skills and understanding. The suite is very well equipped, with networked Dell computers, digital camera, scanner, A3 colour printer and interactive whiteboard. A fast broadband connection provides teachers and children with quick access to internet-based learning resources from computers and interactive whiteboards in every class.
Interactive Whiteboards
Each classroom is equipped with an interactive whiteboard. The ACTIVboards provide a collaborative classroom approach to learning and educational development. The school has installed appropriate software packages on all ACTIVboards, which has provided us with a wealth of resources and educational tools. The use of ACTIVboards also enhances teachers’ ability to accommodate different learning styles as they can call on a variety of resources to suit particular needs.
