Charities
The British International Primary School of Stockholm believes in educating children about those who are less fortunate than ourselves. With this in mind, we run a charity programme, providing sustained and regular support for three charities:
- The Foundation for the Astrid Lindgren Children’s Hospital in Stockholm
- The Saigon Children’s Charity, in Vietnam
- Operation Christmas Child
The Foundation for the Astrid Lindgren Children’s Hospital in Stockholm
The Foundation for the Astrid Lindgren Children’s Hospital works to make the stay in hospital for very sick children as pleasant and comfortable as possible. The Foundation has provided facilities such as a library, a swimming pool, a sensory experience room, multi-media equipment and toys. Our school has a strong relationship with the Foundation through our ongoing contributions to their projects.
